19 Year Old Makes $23,000 in 7 Months Playing Texas Hold`em Poker

The first thing you should know about Daniel is that he has never played at the Las Vegas casino’s… or any casino in the U.S.A. He’s not allowed .

Why? Simple: At only 19-years of age he’s too young. But, Daniel is Canadian… and so… regularly “ply’s his trade ” in the Canadian casino’s where the minimum age to gamble is just nineteen.

The other thing you should know about Daniel is that his “casino name” is U.B.C. The reason: During the day, Daniel is a second year physics major student at the University of British Columbia (U.B.C.) and can often be seen prowling the Casino floor wearing his U.B.C. tee shirt.

But don’t let his age fool you. You see at night and on the weekends Daniel is as lethal as a “hit man” when it comes to playing Texas Hold`em. In fact, he’s won more than $23,000 in just 7-months playing Texas Hold`em - (it sure beats working at McDonalds’s to pay his way through University).

Josh is Currently Making Over $10,000 PER MONTH Playing Poker

Josh is like Clark Kent by day and Superman at night.

By day, Josh works at Electronic Arts and although I have a sneaky suspicion that he plays computer games all-day he tells me hes busy testing the functionality of the games. Hmm!

Actually, it was at Joshs day job that he had his first encounter with online Texas Hold`em. Now he can often be seen at night hawking the poker tables at River Rock Casino, where hes racked up about $1,700 in just four months.

(IMPORTANT UPDATE: Shortly after the recording of this interview, Josh quit his fun and lucrative job and now is reportedly MAKING OVER $10,000 PER MONTH PLAYING POKER).

One of the Best Poker Players I Have Ever Seen at the Casino

Phil is a doctor of biochemistry at the University of British Columbia by day, and at night, one of the best poker players I’ve ever seen at the casino.

The interesting thing about Phil is that although he’s only been playing poker seriously for the last six to nine months… he’s quickly moving up the ranks… away from the “small fry” winnings of low-limit Texas Hold`em or home games. It’s becoming too easy for him.

So, Phil spends about 50 percent of his poker playing time at 4-8 limit Texas Hold`em and the other 50 percent moving up to 6-12, 8-16 and 10-20… depending on the quality of the game.

Marty Talks about Poker Tournaments, Playing Big Poker Rooms, His Best Beat and More…

Marty (my older brother) has been playing poker for the best part of 30-years… so it’s fair to say he’s got a bit of experience under his belt and he’s well worth listening to (you don’t continue playing poker for 30-years if it’s just an expensive habit).

Actually, Marty plays at a level of poker that’s richer than most people’s blood. He’s out of my league, for sure. But although Marty’s preferred level of play is 8-16 to 30-60 he will talk about how to start at the “bottom rung” and quickly rise through the ranks in poker… so you’re playing for the BIG pots.
